South Australian Chapter

ECIA South Australia Chapter was established in 1986 and membership includes professionals, parents and interested community members from a range of agencies and organisations.

The SA Chapter of ECIA provides representation on the National Council and facilitates networking and information sharing on current topics and innovative service provision.

  • ECIA / NDIA Project based in SA

    Early Childhood Intervention Australia (ECIA) in partnership with its South Australian Chapter and National Disability Insurance Australia (NDIA) have been contracted to manage two projects concurrently within South Australia.

    The overall objectives of these projects is to enhance, engage and develop the Early Childhood Intervention sector in South Australia, promote best practice within Early Childhood Intervention and provide information regarding the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) approach and NDIS referral pathways. To achieve these objectives, we have identified two areas / project pathways.

  • Service Provider Workshop 27th April

    Service Provider Workshops SA.

    Participants are encouraged to attend the whole series of workshops but can attend individual days if required. Please register for each day of attendance.

    Outline

    Participants will be provided with an overview of the ECIA National Guidelines for Best Practice, including resources available and providing Early Childhood Intervention in the context, working within the ECI environment and the current NDIS context.

    These workshops are offered free of charge to ECIA SA Chapter Members and EI providers as part of the ECIA (SA) and NDIS Stakeholder Engagement and Information Project.

    Outline

    Coaching – a practical workshop focusing on enhancing practitioners’ skills around building family capacity using a coaching interaction style. Linking back to the Quality Areas of the Best Practice Guidelines will be highlighted throughout the day.

    ECIA SA Chapter Update & exploring Routine Based Intervention. This workshop will provide the opportunity to reflect on & discuss the key elements and practices to consider when working within the everyday routines and activities of children, and their families.
