The aim of our online courses are to build capacity in professionals so that families who have children with developmental delay and/or disability have high quality services and supports wherever they are located throughout Australia.

OUR COURSES

Best Practice in Early Childhood Intervention

This course includes four (4) modules that are based on the National Guidelines in Early Childhood Intervention:

1  Family

2  Inclusion

3  Teamwork

4  Universal Principles

It is expected that participants will take approximately six (6) hours to complete the course and are provided with six (6) weeks in which to do so. At completion, participants will be provided with a certificate.

Does this Child need Help?

Based on over 30+ years of research, this course covers identification and early childhood intervention and includes assessments to test your knowledge on what you have just learnt. The four (4) modules are:

1  What is identification and what does it mean for children, families and services?

2  Knowing when a concern is a concern

3  Talking with families: communicating concerns

4  The role of Early Childhood Intervention

With over eight (8) hours of continuing professional development, participants are provided with six (6) weeks in which to complete the course.

Inclusion Partners in Practice

This course has been developed to increase awareness and apply practical techniques to improve inclusion, collaboration between professionals and evaluation of practices. It provide a number of resources that can be used in the workplace and will improve the service to children and their families. The four (4) modules are:

1  What is inclusion and what does it mean for children and families?

2  Inclusion best practice

3  Collaboration for inclusion

4  Evaluating your inclusive practice

It is expected that participants will take approximately six (6) hours to complete the course and are provided with six (6) weeks in which to do so. At completion, participants will be provided with a certificate.
