Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) Coordinator

Position Summary 

Be the first point of contact for children 0-6 years accessing ECEI by providing information, help determine services and supports, and build the capacity of the child/family to assist individual development, independence and community/social participation and inclusion.

About Us

Lifestart is an NDIS Partner in the Community that supports children living with disability or delay, their families and carers. Lifestart provides Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services to children aged 0-6 years in South Eastern Sydney, Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains, Illawarra Shoalhaven and Central Coast LGAs. The NDIA Grant Agreement provides funding for a 3 year Program.

About the Role

As an ECEI Coordinator you will be the first point of contact for children and their families new to utilising services and supports from NDIS. 

With a key focus on the individual needs of the child, the role of an ECEI Coordinator will include:

  • Working in a strengths-based approach to empower and strengthen the ability of families/carers to advocate for and make informed decisions regarding their child’s development and needs. 
  • Assessing and determining appropriate early intervention supports and services for children 0 – 6 years of age. 
  • Supporting families to access other relevant mainstream and community support services as required to support their needs, and the needs of their child.  
  • Assisting in developing and building the capacity of local mainstream and community services to increase inclusion for children with developmental delay or disability. 

Full time and part time opportunities are available at each region/location. 

About You

Are you a connector, motivator and committed to working ethically and collaboratively?  If these descriptors resonate, we’d like to hear from you. 

To be considered, you must have:

  •  a tertiary qualification in allied health, social science or education (or other relevant studies or experiences) 
  • current professional registration with a relevant body (APHRA, SPA etc) 
  • experience delivering services and support in disability services, particularly to children, or early childhood intervention 
  • knowledge of individualised planning and funding options, and a family-centred approach
  •  hold a current drivers licence and use of a vehicle, to perform the role

We are also seeking interest from those who have a lived experience supporting children with disability or developmental delay and have an understanding of the NDIS, in particular the ECEI approach.
