Are you a Child Care Worker who is passionate about supporting young children and their families with diverse learning abilities in two high quality early childhood settings?

Are you looking for flexibility, would like to work part time with job security and have the opportunity to work additional casual hours in the Learning Links Preschool?

The Learning Links Prep 4 Preschool Playgroup program at Oatley provides this opportunity. 

About the program
This is a new funded program conducted on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8.30am - 12.30 pm and will support young children with diverse abilities to learn and develop in a play-based setting.

The Prep 4 Preschool Playgroup program aims to provide a relaxed, safe and engaging environment where play activities promote children’s learning and prepares them for transitioning to an early learning centre or preschool. 

The playgroup will provide families with information and referrals to other relevant services and early learning centres in their local community.

In addition, the successful applicant would be required to work in our community Preschool on Thursdays during 2019 from 8.30-11.30am.

About our team of professionals
You will work with a team of caring and committed Early Childhood Teachers, Child Care Workers, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapist and Provisional Psychologist

About the role:
This is a school term program with the opportunity to work flexibly in school holiday periods. In this role you will:
Reflect child focussed and strengths-based practice;
Follow the Early Years Learning Framework curriculum;
Comply with Education and Care Services National Regulation and Law;
Develop strong relationships with children and their families;
Comply with the policies and procedures of Learning Links; and 
Collaborate with other team members to continuously improve all aspects of the playgroup’s operations.

Essential Criteria:
Availability to work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8.30am-12.30pm and Thursdays 8.30-11.30am (11 hours/week 
ACECQA approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification;
Minimum 12 months employment experience in an early childhood education setting; 
Sound understanding of current early education and care legislation and regulations including the EYLF and NQS;
Ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role;
Self-motivated and takes initiative;
Demonstrated commitment to working together with families to develop strong and supportive partnerships;
Demonstrated strengths-based approach in working with children;
Skilled at building and maintaining effective workplace relationships with effective written and oral communication skills; 
Current first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis approved training certifications; and 
Sound computer skills.

Availability to work additional hours/days; Additional availability on Mondays and Fridays is advantageous. 
Experience working with children with additional needs and their families in an early childhood setting; and
Current Child Protection training.
