The Early Childhood Intervention Australia (ECIA) 9th Biennial National Conference 2010
The Early Childhood Intervention Australia (ECIA) 9th Biennial National Conference 2010 was held in Canberra 20-22 May. The conference was very successful and attracted 424 delegates and exhibitors. The presentations were of a high standard and we would like to thank all presenters for contributing to the conference and sharing their knowledge and expertise.
The keynote speakers were: Professor Gerry Mahoney (US), Gail Van Tatenhove (US), Denise Luscombe (Aus) and Professor Margaret Sims (Aus). The conference was officially opened by Ms Annette Ellis MP and was also addressed by The Hon Kate Ellis MP.

Raising Children Network - Children with a Disability
A new online resource for the parents of children with a disability.
This new section on children with a disability provides information on Family Life, Services & supports, Play, health & fitness, Working with professionals and Disability rights and the law. It also explores topics such as your feelings, others' reactions and working with disability professionals.
There is a handy A-Z Disability Reference containing a brief explanation of disability terms as well as definitions of the disability professionals you may encounter.
