Early Childhood Intervention Awareness Week

featuring Kites for Kids Day

19 - 25 August, 2007

Information Statement

Early Childhood Intervention Awareness Week heightens community awareness of the importance of early childhood intervention for infants and young children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families through locally organised activities and community information.

Kites for Kids Day is a national celebration day promoting the sky's the limit for hopes and aspirations for these young children and their families.

The activities for this week are hosted by Early Childhood Intervention Australia, a national association providing a focus and forum to promote quality specialised support and services for infants and young children who have developmental delays or disabilities and for their families.

A national register of events across Australia is available. For further information relating to Early Childhood Intervention Week or your Kites for Kids Day contact your local state or territory chapter.
