New South Wales Chapter
Early Childhood Intervention Australia (NSW Chapter) Inc. was established in 1981. Individual membership is open to all those who work, study or have an interest in early childhood intervention, including family members of young children with a disability or developmental delay.
Members are kept informed of key issues and activities relating to ECI through e-mail bulletins, the ECIA NSW website: www.ecia-nsw.org.au and a members’ magazine, Early Edition. A large statewide conference is generally held annually, with information regarding other education & training opportunities (including for families) provided regularly.
ECIA NSW is active in advocating for the interests of young children with disabilities and developmental delays and their families through regular consultations with key State Ministers and/or their Departments, as well as making submissions to Parliamentary or Departmental Inquiries that relate to the well-being of young children and their families. Support is also provided to National ECIA in its responses to Commonwealth issues.
